Welcome to CabanaVP!
The yard? …It’s all yours! From the road you came in on to the old house on the right (yes, the one we’re thinking of making even cooler for you and your friends). Behind you is an orchard, in front, a forest, and in between… all the relaxation you can handle. In the evening, the grill is ready, but please: let’s not turn this into a fireworks show – the axe and fire-starting supplies are under the stairs, and the fireplace is only at the pergola. 😊
Exploring the village? Great idea, whether on foot or using the two bikes! And if you notice a big hill ahead, that’s Dealul Țapa – legends say Vlad the Impaler aka Dracula (the real one) had some interesting methods for dealing with uninvited guests. But that’s another story…
We’ve got hammocks for lazy days, but if it rains, don’t leave them outside – you wouldn’t want to find them turned into sponges. Inside, there’s a TV with YouTube, Netflix, Chromecast, and an Xbox ready for action, but let’s be honest: you came here for nature, not to binge-watch same shows, right? For aspiring chefs, the kitchen is packed with utensils, a stove, and an oven – feel free to play MasterChef. Tap Water? Better stick to the bottled water you brought – we don’t recommend drinking it from . And if hunger or thirst strikes, the “La2Pași” shop is exactly where you’d expect – just a few steps away! 😉
We’re all about being eco-friendly, so after using the stove or oven, please turn them off. And when using the fireplace or AC, keep the doors closed – let’s not heat or cool the outdoors.
BTW: If it’s cold and you’re using the fireplace near the TV, here’s what to remember (best temp is between 22 – 23 degree):
- It runs on pellets and needs to be refilled after about 12-14 hours of operation (we can send you a video tutorial via WhatsApp if needed).
- Before refilling, turn it off using the Power button on the right. Wait until it says “Stove Off” – not “Cooling” or anything else. Once it says “OFF,” open the glass door (the key is in the white drawer under the TV), vacuum the ash and leftover pellets, and then close the door tightly.
- Restart the fireplace using the same Power button. Easy, right? Patience is key – if people made it to the moon, we can certainly handle a fireplace with just three buttons (the +/– buttons adjust the temperature, but you already knew that).
Surprise: If the power goes out (happens once every 2-3 years), you’ll hear the generator start. The sound comes from the old house – it’s your signal not to worry. The cabin/chalet keeps running smoothly, completely autonomous!
For extra relaxation, the pull-out sofa is ready for you. More Blankets and pillows? You’ll find them in the storage chest below or behind the stairs. Oh, and we’ve got great books! Borrowing one? Only if you promise to return it on your next visit.
At night, the sky is full of stars – enjoy them as much as you can! Turn on the LED strip on the terrace and soak in the peacefulness of nature. When you’ve had enough relaxation, we’ve got some great places to visit – just click on the link with recommendations.
When it’s time to leave, if you had a great time, we’d love a glowing review to keep our ratings sky-high (if you found us on Airbnb or Booking, you know the drill; or leave us a review on Google!).
